Overview





The cars use the engine lubrication system pressure. The oil from the oil pan through a strainer and a fine filter to the lubrication points is fed under pressure by the oil pump. The bypass valve in the oil pump maintains the necessary pressure in the engine lubrication system. If the pressure in the lubrication system of the engine exceeds a certain level, the relief valve opens and part of the oil flows back to the sump.
Passing through the oil filter, the purified oil enters the main oil highway. It is a sensor oil pressure, which, including the warning lamp in the instrument cluster, indicates low oil pressure. The oil filter is also a relief valve through which in the case of heavy contamination of the filter crude oil flows directly into the oil pipe.
From the main highway through the channels the pressurized oil supplied to lubricate the crankshaft bearing and through the channels in the crankshaft to the connecting rod bearings. For piston cooling oil through the nozzle is sprayed onto the piston from below.
On channels oil supplied to the cylinder head for the lubrication of bearings of camshafts and hydraulic tappets.
