Overview
Transmission converts the torque transmitted from the engine, in magnitude and direction. This is necessary for optimal speed and terrain vehicle, for the most economical operation of the engine, and for driving in reverse. In addition, the transmission separates the engine and transmission during a stop and parking lot, and when it is coasting with the engine running. Details of the gearbox has a housing which is bolted to the rear of the engine. The torque from the engine is transmitted through the clutch on the gearbox output shaft. A secondary shaft of the gearbox transmits torque through the differential to the drive shafts.
