Checking controls automatic transmission

Check the throttle position sensor
The throttle position sensor is a variable resistor which is rotated together with the throttle shaft and is designed to track the angle of its rotation. When the shaft rotates the throttle sensor output voltage varies, based on which the engine control unit determines the degree of throttle opening.
Disconnect the connector from the throttle position sensor.
Measure the resistance between the contacts "1" and "4" connector from the throttle position sensor. It should be 3.5-6.5 ohms.
Measure the resistance between terminals "2" and "4" connector from the throttle position sensor.
If the throttle valve moves slowly from the initial position to fully open, the resistance must be changed gradually in accordance with the angle of throttle opening.
If resistance differs or does not change smoothly, replace the throttle position sensor.

Check the fluid temperature sensor
Remove the fluid temperature sensor.
Measure the resistance between the contacts "1" and "2" connector fluid temperature sensor. At a temperature of 0 ? C it must be 16,7-20,5 ohms at a temperature of 100 ? C - 0,57-0,69 kW.

Check the vehicle speed sensor

Check the vehicle speed sensor
Fig. 3.31. Check the vehicle speed sensor: A - connector from the sensor; b - the direction of rotation; 1 - shaft; 2 - Resistance
3-10 kW; 3 - Tester

Remove the vehicle speed sensor and connect the resistance of 3-10 ohms, as shown in Fig. 3.31.
Turn the shaft of the vehicle speed sensor and make sure that the voltage between terminals "2" and "3" (1 rotation - 4 pulses).

Check relays automatic transmission
Remove the relay control automatic transmission.

Check relays automatic transmission
Fig. 3.32. Check relays automatic transmission

Jumper wire, connect the contact "2" control relay with the negative ("-") terminal of the battery and the contact "4" relays - positive ("+") terminal of the battery (Fig. 3.32).
Check for continuity between the terminals "1" and "3" control relay automatic transmission when connected and disconnected from the battery jumper wire.
When connecting bridges between the relay contacts should be conductivity.
When you disconnect the jumper between contacts relay conduction should not be.

Check the solenoid valve
Remove the valve cover.

Location solenoid valve of an automatic transmission
Fig. 3.33. Location solenoid valve of an automatic transmission:
1 - downshift solenoid valve; 2 - the electromagnetic valve of the second transmission; 3 - damper clutch solenoid valve; 4 - the electromagnetic valve of low transmission and reverse gears; 5 - the electromagnetic valve overdrive

Disconnect from each solenoid valve (Fig. 3.33).
Measure the resistance between the contacts "1" and "2" of each solenoid valve. At 20 ? C it should be 2.7-3.4 ohms.
If the resistance of the valve is not correct, replace the valve.

A WARNING
Resistance from the solenoid valve connector (at 20 ? C):
- Between terminals "7" and "10" of the damper clutch solenoid valve - 2.7-3.4 ohms;
- Between contacts "10" and "6" of the solenoid valve of low transmission and reverse gear - 2.7-3.4 ohms;
- Contacts between "9" and "4" of the electromagnetic valve the second transmission - 2.7-3.4 ohms;
- Contacts between "9" and "3" of the solenoid valve to downshift - 2.7-3.4 ohms;
- Contacts between "9" and "5" of the solenoid valve overdrive - 2.7-3.4 ohms.
