General recommendations for maintenance and repair

Protection of the car. Before you start, always close the covers fenders, seats and cabin interior elements.

WARNINGS
When viewed from the motor is required to fix the hood in the open position support rod inserted into the hole intended for it near the edge of the hood.
Before closing the bonnet, make sure that the support rod is lowered and secured in the clamps. Before driving, make sure that the bonnet is closed.

Preparation tools and measuring equipment.
Before you begin, make sure you have the proper tools and test instruments. In carrying out some works using special devices.
Removing parts. Before you begin, determine the cause of the problem and make any necessary removal or disassembly.
Dismantling.
If the process is complicated and disassembly requires the removal of many of the items, they must be removed so as not to reduce the performance and not to worsen the appearance of the unit.
Check the details.
After removing each part should be carefully inspected for the absence of faults, deformation and damage.
All removed items must be carefully arranged so that then they can be easily reinstalled. Separate parts which must be replaced from those that will be reused.
Cleaning parts for reuse.
All parts to be reused should be carefully and thoroughly cleaned in the appropriate manner.
When replacing parts, use only original parts Hyundai.
Assembly.
During assembly of all parts should be strictly comply with the standard values, such as torques and certain other adjustments. If removed, replace the assembly on the following new items:
- Seals;
- Laying;
- Seals;
- Lock washers;
- Pins (cotter);
- Nylon nuts;
- Nuts and bolts are tightened dovorachivaniem a certain angle;
- Self-locking nuts and bolts.
Depending on the location and function, do the following:
- Apply sealant on gasket;
- Lubricate the moving parts of details;
- Before assembling, apply in certain places (seals and so on. D.) A prescribed oil or grease.
Adjustment.
To return the setting details on their default values, use the testers and measuring instruments.
Rubber parts, pipes.
Make sure to fuel or oil do not fall on the rubber parts and tubes.

Rules of work on the electrical system
1. Before servicing the electrical system, make sure that the ignition is switched off and disconnected the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Do not pull the wire when disconnecting connectors.
3. For connection of the connectors will hear.
4. Handle carefully with connectors and relays. Do not drop them or bump against other items.
Check wires
Check tightness of nuts and screws threaded pins.
Check the pins and wires for corrosion.
Check the pins and wires with no open circuit.
Check the insulation and coating wires for damage, cracks and wear.
Check the conductive contact element the lack of contact with other metal parts (car body, other details).
Check wire connections of individual units to "weight", the bolts fastening which must be securely bolted to the vehicle body.
Check the location of the wiring.
Make sure that harnesses are secured so as to avoid contact with the sharp edges of the car body or hot parts (exhaust manifold and so on. N.).
Make sure that harnesses are fixed in such a way that they provide sufficient clearance between the pulley radiator fan, fan drive belt and other rotating or moving parts.
Verify that the wiring harness a little slack to allow them to move between the fixed and vibrating elements or nodes, such as the car body and engine.
Check the fuse
Fuse-type knife is equipped with a tamper contact, allows you to check the fuse, without taking it out of the fuse box. Fuse is OK if the warning lamp lights up when one turns its output connected to the control terminals and the other terminal is connected to "weight". This test must be performed with the ignition to check the electrical circuit is energized.
Maintenance of electrical equipment
1. Before servicing electrical equipment, make sure that the ignition is switched off and disconnected the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

A WARNING
In the diagnosis of fuel injection system after disconnecting the wire from the negative terminal of the battery any stored computer diagnostic code will be lost. Therefore, before you disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery, read the diagnostic codes.

2. Using clamps, tightly fasten harnesses. For the wiring harness, which go to the motor or other vibrating parts of the vehicle, secure the wires to the deflection (not pulling), but so that the vibrations of the engine did not lead to the contact wire with one of the parts. Then, using a clamp, secure the wires.
3. If any of the sections of the harness touches the edge detail or angle, wrap this site tape to protect it from damage.
4. When installing the parts, take care not to pinch or damage the wiring.
5. Do not drop or subject to strong shock relays, sensors or electrical parts.
6. The electronic components used in computer, relays and other nodes can be easily damaged by heat. If needed maintenance work in which the temperature exceeds 80 ? C, remove the pre-electronic parts and components.
7. Loosely attached connectors can cause malfunctions. Make sure that they are securely fastened.
8. When disconnecting, grasp the connector, not the wire it.

9. Disconnect the snap by clicking on them in the direction indicated by the arrows in Fig. 1.1.
10. Connect the connector until it clicks.

11. When using a tester to check the continuity of the circuit or the voltage at the terminals of the connector, enter the probe from the wiring (rear probe) (Fig. 1.2). If the connector is tight, insert the probe into the hole in the rubber caps for electric wires. Trying not to damage the insulation of wires, insert the probe to continue as long as it is not connected with the contact.
12. In order to avoid overloading the system, consider the load wires of electric current, and optional equipment determine the appropriate wire size for the table. eleven.
