High voltage wires

Check
High voltage cables connecting the ignition coil to the spark plugs, usually do not create problems for the normal operation of the ignition system, since they are very reliable in operation. However, the high secondary voltage electronic ignition systems place high demands on the quality of the wire insulation as insulation should protect the wire against moisture and saline solutions. If interference with the radio you need to check the condition of the wires and the reliability of their attachment.
When the engine turns off, disconnect the spark plug high-voltage wires and check whether the changed conditions of the engine.

A WARNING
During this test, use insulating gloves.

If the engine performance does not change, check the resistance of the spark plug and the spark plug itself.
Check for cracks, and the tip of the outer sheath high voltage wires.
Tester, measure the resistance of the high voltage (tab. 2.12).

High voltage wires

A WARNING
Resistance should not exceed 10 000 ohms at 0,305 m, otherwise replace the wire.

Installation of high-voltage wires on a V6 engine
Improper positioning of the high voltage leads to breakdown of high voltage between the wires, which in turn causes a misfire when the engine acceleration and high speed of the engine crankshaft.

So be careful when placing the high-voltage wires - install them in accordance with Fig. 2.135.
