Dismantling and assembling strut front suspension

Install the removed rack in a vice. With the help of the spring compressor to compress a spring release of the upper and lower legs of the rack. Remove the shock absorber rod nut (Fig. 5.7).
Remove the spring located on the parts. If you do not intend to collect the rack in the near future, gently unclench spring. Shock absorbers and springs, always replace in pairs, ie, right and left wheels.
To compress a spring assembly, if it has been released after dismantling. Reinstall the removed parts in reverse order of removal. "Loosely", but do not tighten the nut on the shock-absorber rod. Finally tighten the nut after car installation on wheels. Slowly release the spring, making sure that it is correctly positioned relative to the support. Set on the car strut front suspension assembly.
