Removing and installing brake

Bolts (1) securing the guide pins and bolts (2) fixing the brake pads guide to the axis of the wheel hub
Fig. 7.12. Bolts (1) securing the guide pins and bolts (2) fixing the brake pads guide to the axis of the wheel hub

Lift the rear of the vehicle and remove the wheels, noting their position relative to the hub. Pump with a syringe the brake fluid reservoir. Disconnect from the caliper brake hose fitting, taking care to avoid the Straits of brake fluid. Stop the holes to prevent the ingress of dirt into the brake system. Disconnect the parking brake cable. Use a screwdriver to gently move the piston inside the cylinder. Remove the two screws on the guide (Fig. 7.12). Remove the caliper and brake pads from the rail assembly. Remove the brake pads. Check and clean all parts.
Install in reverse order of removal. Remove air from the hydraulic system and adjust parking brake system.
