Replacing the brake cylinder and the brake pads

When replacing a brake drum or wheel cylinder and replace the brake pads.

Lift the rear of the car and put it on the stand. Remove the wheel, noting their position relative to the hub. Lower the lever of the parking brake system. On the outside of the brake board with a screwdriver inserted into the hole, press the lever of the automatic adjustment of the gap between the drum and shoes. The technological holes tighten two bolts M8h1,25 (Fig. 7.9), and evenly tightening them, remove the brake drum pad.
Remove the cap from the hub, remove the cotter pin and loosen the nut on the hub. Remove the hub. Remove the spring mechanism for automatic adjustment of a backlash. Disconnect and remove the upper and lower locking spring pad. Remove the support legs of brake pad assemblies. Disconnect the parking brake cable. Remove the brake pad presser, and then block and extraction. Remove the mechanism of automatic adjustment of the gap. Disconnect the pipe from the wheel cylinder by taking action against the leakage of brake fluid.
To remove the cylinder, remove the bolts securing it to a brake board. Clean the parts of the oil and dirt. Measure the dimensions of the brake drum and compare them with those given in Section. "General information".
Installation is the reverse order. At the end of the assembly to remove the air from the hydraulic system and adjust the parking brake.
