Read Codes

One of the functions performed by the AT control module (TCM), is a continuous diagnostics of failures of components transmission control system (information sensors, actuators and the actual TCM). In the event of a fault management module records in its memory 5-digit Diagnostic Code (DTC), attached to the corresponding contour of the control system. PERFORMANCE ORDER

Connect the scanner, turn on the ignition and, acting in accordance with the manufacturer of the device, make a survey of the processor memory TCM, - in the presence of a memory fault codes (DTC), make the necessary recovery procedures. In the absence of a hand scanner to read the codes can be made using a control lamp HOLD: with the ignition off, close the terminal ?«n?» on the ground terminal (?«s?») DLC, and then turn the key to ON, - code table of conformity and a diagram of the principle of decay listed in the Specifications of the Head Automatic transmission. Finally, clean the memory TCM, then repeat the procedure for reading and make sure the processor memory is empty.

Cleaning the processor memory

Clearing memory TCM is done by the scanner (proceed in accordance with the manufacturers' instructions of the device). Alternatively, you can clear the memory by closing terminals ?«j?» in the ground terminal (?«s?») DLC ignition on.
