| 1. Before testing the switch, make sure the integrity of the fuse. |
| 2. Disconnect the connector at the top of the crankcase, and check the connection between the outputs of the switch. |
| 3. The switch contacts must be closed only when the neutral position of the lever. |
| 4. Otherwise, check the wiring. |
| 5. If the wiring is okay, replace the switch. |
| 6. To remove the switch, lift the rear of the car and establish on supports, drain the oil from the checkpoint. |
| 7. Locate and remove the switch connector from the harness. |
| 8. Remove the switch. |
| 9. Clean the threads of the crankcase and lubricate the threads of the new switch sealant. |
| 10. Replace the switch. |
| 11. Tighten the switch and connect the connector. |
| 12. Lower the car, pour oil into the checkpoint. |
