Removing and installing power steering pump

   Details of mounting the power steering pump are shown in Fig.  256.  When installing observe all the specified torque.    All shot spring washers and self-locking nuts must be replaced when you install new ones.  The pump before installing fill in hydraulic oil G 002 00 and turn the pump pulley a few turns to allow the oil to settle.    When connecting the tube 10 to see to it that it is not twisted.  Be sure to replace the O-rings 4 pressure line.  Banjo bolt-fitting 5 tightening torque of 30 Nm.    If the pump and the console is removed, then the installation must be tightened fastening in the following order:    - First "fit flush" all of the bolts;    - Tighten to 45 Nm bolt 7, and then the bolts 8, 9 and 11. The bolts 9 and 11 of the same length, the same applies to the bolts 7 and 8.
