Timing is carried out not directly but through an intermediate gear shaft 1 (Fig. 91). Besides on the intermediate shaft is located and a small sprocket 10 which drives a double-row chain 9 timing. On the VR6 engine sprocket 13 at the forward end of the crankshaft driving the single-row chain 14 is a non-removable (rented together with the crankshaft). Given the tension of two-lane circuit, timing, carried the plate chain tensioner (tensioner) 8 which is controlled by the adjusting bolt inserted outside the chain tension. Single-row chain between the sprocket 13 of the crankshaft and intermediate sprocket 11 also has a tensioning device 12, which is regulated by hydraulic means, and does not require any additional intervention. It should be remembered that the chain tensioner has a blocking device, which must be unlocked before changing the chain tensioner. Double-row chain drive is pressed from the outside inwards by 18 pacifier that prevents hitting the chain drive for the camshafts. Single-row chain also pressed damper 12, but the chain is pressed from the inside out. For fastening bolts and pacifier use special fingers.
