Repair of the water pump
VR6 engine The water pump can not be repaired, so when a fault is detected, replace with a new one. 2.0-liter engine The water pump can not be repaired, so in the event of a fault in it, replace it with a new one.

To replace the thermostat, unscrew the pump and remove the thermostat 6 (see. Fig. 188). Remove the 3 bolts securing the pump from its housing and remove the pump. Remove the gasket 5 between the two halves of the pump housing. Before you screw the pump to the body, install a new gasket, replace an O-ring sealing the thermostat housing. Can be removed and replaced, respectively, the parts shown by (see. Fig. 188).
