Positions selector

The display in the instrument cluster shows the number of positions in which the selector (Fig. 1.55).

A WARNING
During driving never move the lever into position R or P.

P - Parking
The drive wheels are blocked.
Selector should be placed in this position only when the vehicle is stopped. Before turning off this position when the ignition should be further depress the brake pedal.
R - Reverse
It should be enabled only when the vehicle is stationary and the engine idling. Before moving to the position of R in position P or N must press the brake pedal and push the lock button in the handle of the selector.
In the R position with the ignition burn reversing lights.
N - Neutral (idle position)
In the derivation of the selector from the N position at a speed of 5 km / h, and when the vehicle is stationary and the ignition switched on, press the brake pedal and lock button on the handle of the selector.
D - move forward
Four transmission are automatically switched from low to higher and vice versa, depending on the engine load conditions and speed.
Under certain driving conditions it is advisable to temporarily use one of the items below.
3 - position for the "rolling" road sections
It is recommended that in certain driving conditions in selector lever position D to position occurs frequently switched from the 3rd to the 4th gear and reverse.
To translate the selector in this position you must press the lock button in the handle of the selector. Automatically switch up and down the 1st, 2nd or 3rd gear depending on engine load and speed, 4th gear is not included. This increases the efficiency of engine braking at the termination of the fuel supply.
2 - position of the mountain road sections
Recommended for prolonged ascents and descents. Automatically switch up and down the 1st or 2nd gear, depending on engine load and speed, the 3rd and 4th gear not included. It also increases the efficiency of engine braking.
1 - position for the mountain road sections with steep slopes

NOTE
Automatic switching to a lower gear occurs when the gear after the engine speed increases.

Choose this position is recommended when driving on steep inclines. To enable this position, press the lock button on the handle of the selector. The car moves only on 1st gear, 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear not included. This achieves the maximum possible efficiency of engine braking.
Cruise control in position 1 the selector can not be used.
