Replacement of the external hinge of the drive shaft



Secure the drive shaft in a vice with soft sponges.
Remove collars of fastening of a protective cover and slide the cover from the hinge on the drive shaft.
Thoroughly clean the inside of the joint and remove the snap ring from the inside of the hinge.

Using a special tool 3207 for removal of the external hinge with shaft drive

Screw the special tool 3207 into the shaft of the hinge and remove the outer joint from the drive shaft (Fig. 10.6).
Remove the snap ring, gasket and dished the puck from the end of the drive shaft.
Fill the internal hinge lubricated.

Set the drive shaft Belleville washers convex side to the hinge and the intermediate ring (Fig. 10.7).
Install a new drive shaft snap ring, secure the shaft in a vice with soft sponges and aluminum or copper hammer joint press them onto the shaft, and the retaining ring should be clearly enter into a groove on the inside of the joint.

Replace the protective cover hinge and secure it with clamps, screwdriver previously raised inner edge of the cover to equalize the air pressure under the cover. To use the tool mounting clamps 1683 (Fig. 10.8). Sponge tool set at the corners Clamp and in this position, tighten the screw jaws.
