Setting



When installing, use new nuts, sealing rings and clamps.

Before installation, set the steering rack to the middle position, remove the screw plug and instead manually screw jig VA G 1907 (Fig. 14.18).

Install the steering and fix bolts 1 and 2 (see. Fig. 14.17), tightening them by hand.
Screw a bolt of 3 fastenings of the steering mechanism and tighten its moment of 67 Nm.
Finally tighten the bolts 1 and 2 securing steering torque 67 Nm.

Screw banjo bolt return hose hydraulic assisted steering and tighten to 50 N ?� m (see. Fig. 14.15).

Remove banjo bolt pressure hose hydraulic assisted steering and tighten to 40 N ?� m (see. Fig. 14.16).
Release the steering column adjustment mechanism and place it in a position close to horizontal.

Install the universal joint shaft on the steering Insert the eccentric screw, turn it counterclockwise, screw the nut on the bolt and tighten to 30 N ?� m (see. Fig. 14.7).
Remove the jig VA G 1907 instead screw in the steering mechanism of the threaded plug and tighten to 12 N ?� m (see. Fig. 14.18).

Install the cover that protects the wheel arch and secure it with a nut 1 (see. Fig. 14.14) and 2 clamps.
Install the lower trim panel dashboard on the driver's side.
The further installation is made in sequence, return to removal, taking into account the following.
Add fluid to the hydraulic system of the power steering and bleed the air.
Check the hydraulic system of the power steering for leaks.
Connect a wire of "weight" to the battery.
Turn on the radio and enter the code.
Lift up the power window glass until it stops. Then press all the switches window again, at least 1, in the closed position of the control unit to activate windows.
Set the clock.
