Adjusting the tension of the air conditioning compressor drive belt
Fig. 14.22. Adjusting the tension of the air conditioning compressor drive belt: VAG 1410 - a torque wrench; A - the bolts

Loosen the screws A (Fig. 14.22) V-belt tensioner fixing the air conditioning compressor and remove the belt from pulleys.

The weakening of the tension of the V-ribbed belt and the arrangement of bolts (1) and nuts (2) fixing the generator on non-turbo four-cylinder engines
Fig. 14.23. The weakening of the tension of the V-ribbed belt and the arrangement of bolts (1) and nuts (2) fixing the generator on non-turbo four-cylinder engines

Wrench, turn clockwise tensioner V-ribbed belt to loosen its tension (Fig. 14.23).
Remove ribbed belt from pulleys and V-ribbed belt tensioner release.

Cars with diesel engines

The weakening of the tension of the V-ribbed belts on diesel engines
Fig. 14.24. The weakening of the tension of the V-ribbed belts on diesel engines

Loosen the tension on the serpentine belt, which wrench for the bolt head rotate counterclockwise tension roller (Fig. 14.24).
Remove V-ribbed belt, starting with the alternator pulley.
Secure by turning the pulley fan with viscous coupling bolt M5x60 mm.
Socket wrench to remove the 8 mm bolts and remove a pulley viscous clutch fan radiator.
