Check
At malfunction of the oxygen sensor can dramatically increase emissions. If the oxygen sensor is serviceable, but its voltage signal is not correct, check for the following faults control system richness: - Failure of nozzles; - Suction of air into the intake conduit; - Failure of the air flow sensor, canister purge valve and the coolant temperature sensor; - Wiring.
NOTE In sharp accelerator is released after engine with engine speed of about 4000 min -1 the fuel supply is stopped momentarily and the unit HI-SCAN shows the values are not higher than 200 mV. By sharp pressing an accelerator pedal readings go into the interval 600-1000 mV. By reducing the speed down to idling voltage signal will fluctuate between the intervals of 200 mV and 600-1,000 mV. In this case, the oxygen sensor may be considered serviceable. |
