Clutch

At Hyundai cars with manual gearbox set single-plate dry clutch with plates, not containing asbestos, and dual-mass flywheel. Management is carried out by means of hydraulic drive clutch. Cars with automatic gearbox equipped with a hydraulic multi-plate clutch.
During operation, maintenance-free coupling: when the pads worn parts themselves aligned. Replace clutch disc should be done after 100 000 km, but this depends on the load conditions of the vehicle.

Clutch Components
Fig. 3.1. Clutch Components

Depending on the type of engine and gearbox clutch design may vary somewhat (Fig. 3.1).

Flywheel
The flywheel is rigidly connected to the engine crankshaft. Dvuhmasso-headed flywheel with a spring-damper system provides maximum damping of torsional vibrations.

Driven by the pressure and drives
The slave drive is installed on the gearbox input shaft. On both sides of laths riveted thereto.
Pressure plate through diafrag-mennuyu spring and clutch cover is rigidly connected to the flywheel. The pressure plate is to press the clutch disc to the flywheel. The surface of the pressure plate treated with anti-corrosion compound. When cleaning the pressure plate should be processed only its surface - so you extend the life of the clutch.

Clutch
Clutch provides an exemption from the master slave drive by pressing the clutch pedal.

Bleeding of the hydraulic clutch actuator
Any hydraulic system works normally if air is removed from it.

ATTENTION
Take care not to spill clutch hydraulic fluid on the painted surface. If this happens, wash immediately with water.

NOTE
Do not mix different brands of hydraulic fluids clutch.
Do not reuse the drained hydraulic fluid clutch.

During pumping, add only the pure liquid recommended by the manufacturer. Never re-use the liquid from the hydraulic drive clutch.
If the hydraulic fluid accidentally mixed up different brands, remove the liquid, rinse with clean liquid required mark and insert new O-rings.

Bleeding of the hydraulic clutch actuator

At constant leakage of fluid from the hydraulic actuator or being hit by the air and determine the cause of the leak, repair the damage (Fig. 3.2).
Before the procedure, remove the lid of the tank pumping the clutch.
Evacuate the liquid from the tank a suction pump.
Uncover the bleed hole of the clutch slave cylinder and attach a vinyl hose to the nipple.
Place the other end of the vinyl hose into a container.
Several times slowly swing the clutch pedal.
When the clutch pedal is depressed, unscrew the nipple using a special device to release the fluid.
Tighten the bleed hole to stop the discharge of liquid.
Again, repeat the procedure several times before pumping until out of the tube will not go only pure liquid.
Tighten the bleed hole.
Add a liquid in a tank to mark MAX.
Replace the cover.
Check the operation of the clutch.

Check clutch
If you turn off the clutch when audible noise and rattle, then the clutch is turned off abnormally. Perform a check using the reverse gear, because it is not equipped with synchronizers:
- Set the engine idling;
- Press the stop on the clutch pedal and wait for 3 seconds;
- Select reverse gear. If you hear noise, then the clutch disc released incomplete. Therefore, the clutch is faulty.
In this case, check the elements of the hydraulic clutch. Perhaps the system is air. Check also the tightness of all connections of hydraulic drive.
