The system of emission control (models with catalytic converter)
The content of toxic components in the exhaust gases (CO, CH, NOx) is limited by a combination of design features of the motor vehicle and special controls in the fuel system. Features shape of the combustion chamber, intake manifold, timing and ignition systems constitute the main control system. Additional control devices include catalytic converters and oxygen sensors that monitor the composition of the fuel-air mixture. The above elements are integrated into the very efficient management system that controls the level of emissions and provides an acceptable vehicle handling and good fuel economy.
