Overview

Additional security system (SRS - Airbag) is in addition to the seat belts to reduce the risk of injury, save lives and health of the driver and passenger in the event of an accident by activating and opening the airbag driver, passenger and side airbags, as well as trigger pretensioners in certain frontal or side collisions.

A WARNING
The maximum protective effect of seat belts and airbags can only be achieved with proper adjustment of the seat.

Airbags are an important element of passive safety of the car, in any case do not replace seat belts. It should be borne in mind that the highest efficiency of the airbags is achieved only when used together with their belts.
When the system is activated air bags are filled with gas and inflating, unfolding in front of the driver and passenger.
When the palm of the driver and front passenger in a fully inflated air bags movement of their bodies forward inertia is extinguished, and the risk of injury to the head and upper body is significantly reduced.
The air bag is designed so that in a frontal impact by gravity or body of the driver sitting next to him the passenger in a controlled release of gas from the cushion to soften the blow of the head and upper body. After the collision, theft becomes blank and does not interfere with the review.
Filling airbag occurs at a high speed in a matter of seconds, and provides the accident protection.
The appearance of the cabin clouds of fine dust in the inflated airbag is normal and not cause for concern.
SRS AIRBAG The system consists of the following elements:
- The airbag module on the driver, located in the center of the steering wheel, which includes a folded cushion and a device for its content;
- The airbag module on the passenger side, placed in a decorative pillow in front of the passenger, which includes a folded cushion and a device for its content;
- The lateral airbag modules, located in the driver's seat and the passenger, which includes the folded airbag and a device for filling them;
- Control security system SRSCM, located in the center console;
- Deceleration sensor controlling vehicle deceleration;
- Connective (clockwise) the spring located inside the steering column;
- Wires and pin connectors of the system;
- Knee bolster located below the steering column.
The function control strike SRSCM performs with an electronic accelerometer that constantly measures the acceleration of the vehicle and provides a corresponding signal through the amplifier and filter circuit to a microprocessor.
Disclosure of airbags should occur at or near the front side impact to mitigate its effects.
With elements of the security system (SRS) must work only by trained experts. When working with elements of the SRS, you must be very careful not to get injured in case of accidental disclosure of airbags.

WARNINGS
In the front seat passenger and the pillow should not be placed people, animals, or various objects. In addition, the doors can not be attached to various accessories such as cup holders.
On hooks for clothes can be hung only small and light things.
The pockets for small things you can not store heavy or sharp-edged objects.
The sides of the seat backs can not be exposed to large forces, for example, strong shocks or pressing - so you can damage the system side airbags.
In no case can not be put on the front seat covers, are not recommended by the manufacturer, or the disclosure of the side airbags of a protective effect will be significantly limited.

Safety when servicing airbags
Failure to comply with the order of the operation of the service may lead to an unexpected air bag deployment, which could cause injury.
Furthermore, if the serving airbags mistake, the airbag may not work at the right time.
When servicing pillows (including removal or installation, inspection or replacement of components), follow these requirements.
1. Carrying out maintenance operations on the airbag is permitted only after 30 seconds or more after turning the key in the ignition switch to ?LOCK? and disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery. The system is equipped with airbags backup power for its operation, if a wire is disconnected from the battery when the crash. Redundant power supply provides power for 150 ms.
2. If the negative battery terminal is disconnected wire, the data memory clock and the audio will be erased. Before you begin, make a note of these data storage systems. After the end of the audio system, and adjust the clock.
3. Symptoms airbag system is difficult to determine, therefore, in the case of fault diagnosis diagnostic codes are the most important source of information.
4. Never use airbag parts from another vehicle. When replacement parts are always install new parts.
5. Never attempt to disassemble and repair the air bag modules (DAB, PAB, ART), clock spring and wire for reuse.
6. If any of the SRS parts falling on them or there are cracks, dents or other damage on the case, bracket or pin connector, replace them with new ones.
7. After completing the airbag Test the SRS. The warning lamp airbags in some cases may be triggered due to the fault of other chains. Therefore, if the warning lamp lights, erase DTCs (DTS) with the scanner Hi-Scan immediately after the repair or replacement of parts, including a fuse.
8. When performing electric welding, always disconnect the wire from the negative battery terminal.
