Rear window



Withdrawal
To remove the rear window pre-clear the following elements:
- The rear bench seat;
- The back seat;
- Upholstery of the rear parcel shelf;
- Upholstery of a back rack;
- Lower molding rear window;
- Handrails.

WARNINGS
Removing and installing rear window spend gloves.
To avoid damaging the surfaces, located near the rear window, close it covers.
Do not damage the conductor elements of the rear window defogger.

Disconnect the connectors on the rear window defogger and the antenna.
Remove the molding from the rear window.
Further removal of the rear glass is carried out just like the front window.

A WARNING
If the molding can not be removed, cut it with a knife.

Setting
With a sharp knife or a special tool to remove the old sealant evenly to a thickness of about 2 mm on the bonding surfaces around the entire rear window.

WARNINGS
Be careful not to remove more hermetic than required and do not damage the painted surface of the blade body. If the paint is still intact, the injury paint paint being applied to the car.
Remove the clip from the body.

Clean the mating faces of the body with a sponge soaked in alcohol, or wax and grease remover.

A WARNING
After cleaning the surface eliminate the ingress of water, dust and loose material.

Install the mounting clips of the lower molding rear window and lower strut rear window.
If it is installed the old rear window, a spatula, remove all remnants of the old sealant and rubber pad, then clean the surface with alcohol rear window, which will be applied to the new sealant.

A WARNING
Make sure that the mating faces are not exposed to water, oil and grease.
Do not install the rear window on the ends, so the small chips can later turn into cracks.

Align the new rear window in the doorway and with a special wax pencil, mark its position, having put in four places labels on the glass and body.
Evenly apply a thin layer of soil 25-30 mm wide along the perimeter of the glass and let it dry for 1-15 minutes.

WARNINGS
Do not apply primer to the body on the glass.
Apply primer evenly over the entire area.
Do not apply too thick a layer of soil.
Never touch the surface of the soil by hand. If this happens, the material may not be connected with glass that would cause leaks after installing windows.
Do not let the primed surface with water, dust and abrasive materials.

On the inner surface of the glass around the edge of the rubber glue jumper to apply a sealant when installing glass (Fig. 7.58).
Install molding around the edges of the rear window.
Apply a thin layer of soil on the remaining sealant on the edges of the body.
The glass must be installed within 10 minutes after application of the soil.
Fill the recommended sealant syringe for applying sealant, trying to avoid air pockets formed impeding its uniform application. Then, using a syringe, apply a uniform layer of sealant along the edge of the glass.

A WARNING
Apply sealant within 5 min after application of the primer on the glass.

With suction cups or a special tool (09861-31400) lower the glass into the opening, aligning the labels put before, and set the glass on the sealant. Easy to click on the glass to the edge of his flat on the sealant around the perimeter.

A WARNING
Until the sealant is dry, do not open or close the door.

Using a spatula or a cloth to remove excess sealant.

A WARNING
To remove the sealant from the rear window and paint the body surface with a soft cloth soaked in alcohol.

Dry sealant for one hour.
Check for leaks glass cold running water, but be careful - do not direct a jet of a new hermetic material. Let the water flow down the edges of the glass.
If there are leaks, the area being dry, and then apply the sealant again.

WARNINGS
Allow the car to stand for at least 4 hours after installation of the glass. The first 8 hours after setting window of a minimum speed.
Keep dry glass for one hour after the installation.

Establish earlier removed elements.

A WARNING
Within 2-3 days after the installation of the glass is not recommended:
- Slam the door when all the windows are raised;
- Expose the body to excessive shock (movement in the deep ruts with entry and exit them at an angle, driving on rough roads).
