The shift lever is shown in Fig. 3.26.
Remove the center console assembly.
Remove the shift lever assembly.
Remove the clip and remove the bolts.

Remove the pins and clamps securing the gearbox control cables from the gearbox (Fig. 3.27).

Check
Check the operation of the cable gear selection and damage.
Check the effect of the shift cable and damage.
Check the cover for damage.
Check each sleeve for wear, abrasion, jamming and damage.
Check the spring for damage and reduce the elasticity.

Setting
Install the shift lever assembly.
Install cables and switch gear selection.
