Changing the oil in the gearbox



The manufacturer recommends changing the oil in a mechanical transmission 90 thousand. Km or seven years, whichever comes first. The automatic transmission (if it is installed on the vehicle), the working fluid must be replaced after 60 thousand. Km or six years, whichever comes first. The amount of oil poured into the manual gearbox is 2.8 liters of working fluid for automatic transmission - 5.4 liter.

NOTES
To use the manual transmission gear oils with the parameters of not less than API GL-4, SAE 75W-85W or 75W-90.
For automatic transmission, the manufacturer recommends that a working fluid ATF SP-III.

HELPFUL ADVICE
Drain oil (working fluid) is recommended for 15 minutes after the trip until it has cooled down and has good fluidity.

You will need: face head "23," an extension cord knob, the capacity to collect waste oil, a syringe.
To change the oil in a mechanical transmission, perform the following steps.
1. Place the vehicle on a lift or a viewing ditch.

2. To facilitate the discharge of oil from the gearbox, remove the dipstick.
NOTE

On the oil filler plug installed copper sealing ring. Carefully inspect it, strongly crimped or deformed, replace the ring.

3. Loosen the drain plug ...
4. ... remove the plug ...

5. ... and drain the oil into the prepared container.
6. Screw the drain plug.
7. Remove the air filter (see. "Removing and installing the air filter").

8. Using a syringe, fill the oil in the gearbox, controlling the oil level with the pointer.

NOTE
The operations associated with the replacement of the hydraulic fluid in the automatic transmission, rather laborious, require certain skills and high volume (approximately 20 liters) of the working fluid. Replace the hydraulic fluid in the automatic transmission at service stations, have special equipment.
