Design Features



By car Supplemental Restraint System (SRS), which is designed for use in conjunction with the front seat belts to reduce the risk of injury caused by traffic accidents, and when triggered the airbags.
Supplemental Restraint System includes the following elements:
Design Features
- Driver's front airbag mounted in the steering wheel hub and a shell consisting of a folded airbag and gas generator;
- The front passenger airbag in the front seat (set depending on vehicle), installed in the dashboard on the passenger side and a shell consisting of a folded airbag and gas generator;
- Seat belt driver and front passenger (if the front passenger airbag). Seat belts are equipped retractors provide a timely response to the emergency vehicle deceleration, pulling the driver and front passenger to the seat back, as well as eliminate their further forward movement of inertia and personal injury from the steering column, instrument panel and other elements of the car. In the seat belt retractor mechanism installed load limiter which prevents personal injury of the chest due to the load of holding the body belt;

Design Features
It looks like the main elements of the seat belt pre-tensioners: 1 - lower mounting bracket; 2 - belt; 3 - tongue belt buckle; 4 - upper mounting bracket; 5 - a pyrotechnic pretensioner element; 6 - reel seat belt.

Design Features
- An electronic control unit designed to coordinate the work of all elements of additional system of passive safety. The electronic control unit, which is located under the center console, instrument panel, built-in shock sensor, which activates a chain of airbags and pyrotechnic pretensioners elements.
The control unit has a backup power supply that provides the system with the power failure to the vehicle;
Design Features
- Rotary switch mounted in the steering column and connects the driver's front airbag wiring steering column and an electronic control system.

NOTE
Wire harnesses more passive safety systems are painted yellow to distinguish them from the vehicle's electrical wiring harnesses.
