Heating (air-conditioning) and a blower

Heating, ventilation and air conditioning

Ventilation systems, heating and air conditioning (Fig. 1.8) installed on the car, operate effectively with the windows closed and constitute a single system that provides maximum comfort in the car, regardless of the weather conditions and the ambient temperature. The temperature in the cabin is regulated by mixing cold and hot air. The cooling unit air conditioning system lowers the temperature and humidity of the air, cleans it from dust. The heater increases the temperature of the air in all operating modes of the system.

NOTE
Air conditioning system installed on the vehicle.

The system provides quick-response control of air temperature, virtually independent of vehicle speed. The amount of air in the passenger compartment is mainly determined by fan operation, so it is necessary to include even while running at a high speed.
Outside air can enter the room through a window in the door and through the open window blower, located in front of the windshield. Air from the blower can enter the interior of the vehicle through the air vents of the windshield, the side and center nozzles and lower nozzles through the heater housing.
The amount, temperature, direction and intensity of air flow is controlled switches installed in the control unit of heating, ventilation and air-conditioning.
Heating (air-conditioning) and a blower
The direction of air flow through the side and the central nozzle can be varied by rotating the grating (the vertical direction) and the flaps (horizontal direction).
Heating (air-conditioning) and a blower
To increase the intensity of the air in the cabin while driving and ensure the air supply to the vehicle is stationary turn the handle switch 1 is one of four modes of the fan blower.
To change the direction of air rotation select (clockwise) the regulator handle air distribution 2 one of the following options:
- Feeding air into the upper compartment (through lateral and central nozzle instrument panel);
- Feeding air into the upper and lower part of the cabin (through lateral and central dashboard nozzles and lower nozzles through the heater housing);
- Feeding air into the lower part of the compartment (through the lower nozzle housing heater);
- Supply of air to the windscreen (through air vents of the windshield) and the lower part of the passenger compartment;
- The air supply to the air vents windscreen and side windows.
To change the temperature of the air in the passenger compartment turn the knob temperature controller 3. The blue part of the scale corresponds to the maximum supply of cooling air, the red - the most heated. When the average position of the handle in the cabin is supplied with air at ambient temperature.
Heating (air-conditioning) and a blower
For admission into the cabin outside air mode, press the outdoor air (in the switch will illuminate indicator lamp).
Heating (air-conditioning) and a blower
To activate, press the recirculation recirculation (in the switch will illuminate indicator lamp). When the recirculation mode the outside air does not enter the room, the fan blower circulates the air inside the cabin. This mode is used to quickly warm the interior in the cold season, as well as dust and gas content of the ambient air.
Heating (air-conditioning) and a blower
To cool the air entering the interior of the vehicle, press the button on the air conditioner - it lights warning lamp. To turn off the air conditioner to re-press the button.

NOTE
Air conditioning is not turned on when the mode switch of the fan blower is set to "0" (fan off).
A WARNING
Turning the air conditioner during engine operation in harsh conditions (long slope heavy city traffic, etc.) Can cause the engine to overheat. Watch for indications of coolant temperature: if the temperature exceeds the limit, turn off the air conditioner. During long trips in city traffic the efficiency of the air conditioner may be reduced due to the intense heat of the engine mode. This is not a malfunction, when driving in normal road conditions, the air conditioner will operate efficiently.

Depending on different combinations of switches and switching control unit controls the heating system (air conditioning) and ventilation works in the following main modes:
Heating (air-conditioning) and a blower
- The maximum cooling mode (including air conditioning and recirculated air). Used in hot weather, and after a long parking in the sun for a quick cooling of the interior air. In this case, before turning on the air conditioner it is recommended to open the windows for a short time to remove the hot air from the interior;
Heating (air-conditioning) and a blower
- Normal cooling (air conditioning is switched off and recirculated air). It is used when traveling around the city and its feature at a moderately warm weather;
- Ventilation mode. It used in the off-season, which is characterized by low temperature and lack of sunlight. If the air conditioner is switched off and recirculated air in the cabin provided a stratified distribution of air flows of different temperatures: in the upper part of the passenger compartment is fed cool air, and the feet of the driver and passengers - heated. If the air conditioner is turned off, through the central and side vents in the room served the maximum amount of outside air;
Heating (air-conditioning) and a blower
- The maximum heating mode (air conditioning off, air recirculation mode must be enabled). It is used at very low ambient temperatures and to quickly warm the air in the cabin after a long stay;
Heating (air-conditioning) and a blower
- Normal heating mode (air conditioning should be switched off and recirculated air). It is used during the cold season to maintain optimum air temperature in the cabin after an intense warm-up mode, maximum heating;
Heating (air-conditioning) and a blower
- Mode of blowing glass windshield and front doors (recirculated air mode should be turned off, switch the air conditioner may be in any position). It is used to quickly remove misting at high humidity.
NOTE
In order to anti-mist glass in rainy weather, enable them blow when the heater is turned off, since the difference of temperature of the glass surface and the supply air can cause condensation.

HELPFUL HINTS
For a more effective operation of the ventilation and heating systems at vehicle speed below 50 km / h when passing a particularly dusty road sections with the windows closed (to pressurize the air in the cabin, which prevents suction dust) recommend enabling switch heater fan on low or maximum speed.
To speed up defogging the rear window and release it from the ice and snow turn the switch heating glass.
If you do not use the air conditioner for a long time, it is necessary once a week for a short while turn it on when the engine is running to restore the layer of grease on the parts of the compressor and the seals.
