The engine has decayed during movement

Sooner or later, every driver can get into a situation where the car a few moments ago to obey all the commands suddenly stops responding to pedal "gas" and on the instrument panel warning light. The engine stopped working, the car loses speed. What to do in such a situation?
Most importantly - do not be nervous! Turn on the alarm, depress the clutch pedal and using the inertia of the car, try to gently move to the edge of the roadway and stop as much as possible right at the curb, and if possible - outside the roadway.

A WARNING
Note that when the engine efficiency of the braking system of the car is reduced and braking may require more effort on the brake pedal. The same thing happens with the steering if the vehicle is equipped with a hydraulic booster.

Apply the parking brake; if the vehicle is stopped on an incline, use wheel chocks. During difficult driving conditions and on country roads expose the warning triangle, as per the rules of the road. Now you need to identify and eliminate faults.
There are two main reasons:
- It does not work the ignition system;
- Is not working power system.
To get started find out if there is petrol in the tank. Turn the ignition switch and look at the fuel gauge. If the yellow lamp fuel reserve balance does not light up and the arrow pointer indicates the presence of fuel, it can be assumed that there is petrol in the tank.
Open the hood and inspect the engine compartment. Pay attention to the integrity of all units. Check on-site whether all the wires, whether torn, burnt, with damaged insulation. Inspect hoses gasoline, motor fuel - whether gasoline drips.

A WARNING
If leaking gasoline, in any case, do not start the engine until the problem is a fault!

Inspect the coolant expansion tank - if not drained coolant. Also check the oil level in the crankcase.
If everything is in order, proceed to check the ignition system and power supply system as described earlier.
