Check thermal gaps in the mechanism of the valve
Remove the battery cover. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Remove the bottom cover and splash shield (right). Remove the air filter. Remove the ignition coil. Disconnect the breather hose. Remove the cylinder head cover. Measure the valve clearance. Turn the crankshaft clockwise so that the piston ?��1 was at TDC compression stroke.

If the clearance is not correct, replace the valve tappet and adjust valve clearance on average. Standard valve clearance (with cold engine): 0,27-0,33 mm.
NOTE Record the measured values to select the appropriate tappets for replacement. |
Rotate the crankshaft 360 ?� clockwise so that the piston ?��4 was at TDC compression stroke. Measure the valve clearance at the point B (see. Fig. 2.236). If not correct, replace the valve tappet and adjust valve clearance on average. Standard valve clearance (with cold engine): 0,27-0,33 mm. Install the cylinder head cover. Connect the ventilation hose. Install the ignition coil. Install the air filter. Replace the bottom cover and splash shield (right).
