A transmission mechanism (Fig. 3.73) consists of three pairs of couplings, brakes, belt brakes, and one-way clutch couples two single planetary gear type. Planetary gear ratio changes according to the driving conditions of the vehicle. The mechanism of transmission, hydraulic pressure is transmitted from the control valve or switching solenoids A, B or C (duty cycle) to the clutch and brake.
Forward clutch. Transmits the torque from the turbine shaft to the front sun gear. Powered forward gear range in the first, second or third gear.
Clutches 3/4. Transmits torque from the turbine shaft to the rear planetary carrier. It works in the range of the fourth forward gear or third gear.
Coupling the reverse gear. Transmits the torque from the turbine shaft to the rear sun gear. It works when the vehicle is moving in reverse.
Tapes brake 2/4. Blocks reverse rotation of the drum and fixes the rear sun gear. It works in the position of the second or fourth gear.
Brake and reverse gear downshift. Fixes the rotation of the front internal gear. Operates when the vehicle is moving in reverse and first gear (range l, HOLD mode)
One-way clutch. Locks the counterclockwise rotation of the front internal gear to first gear.
Planetary gear. Planetary gear works in transmission due to on / off clutches and / or brakes, converts the driving force of the turbine shaft and transmits it to the driving gear.
NOTE All directions of rotation are considered by the torque converter. |
