Ignition system

Ignition system creates in each cylinder of the engine at a certain moment the spark that ignites the compressed fuel mixture. For the formation of a spark in the ignition coil voltage of the battery 12 is converted into a high voltage ignition 25 000-30 000 V.

To determine the ignition timing control unit uses the information stored in the memory and information from the sensors installed on the engine. Control signals from the ignition system gets a Hall sensor or encoder. Additionally, the ignition timing is corrected also on the knock sensor signal, which is susceptible to premature ignition and thus reduces the ignition timing.
Engines Recommended fuel / ROZ Permissible fuel
4 and 5 x titsilindrovye engines Super unleaded / 95 Normal unleaded / 91
Engine 2,8-I-V6 Super unleaded / 98 Normal unleaded / 95

When refueling acceptable fuel, engine power is reduced with increasing fuel consumption. It is also not recommended to run the engine at maximum capacity.

The octane number of the fuel determines the anti-knock properties of the fuel.

Precautions

At work on the ignition system, so as not to damage the semiconductor devices (diodes and transistors), you must meet the following requirements:

- During operation of the engine, do not disconnect the battery, generator or any electric sockets;
- When carrying out any works remove the negative plug from the accumulator;
- When carrying out electric welding on the vehicle, disconnect the generator and control unit;
- Do not operate the engine disconnected from the electrical system generator.

Do not touch the high-voltage wires by hand and do not remove them when the engine is running or cranking the engine a starter.

Cables and wires, ignition system instrumentation disconnect only when the ignition is switched off.

Sink engine produces only when the ignition is off.
