Twin engine capacity of 3.6 liters

The engine number ("Engine code" and "sequence number") is located next to the torsional vibration damper on the cylinder block (Fig. 1.5).

The engine number is a maximum of nine characters (alphanumeric). The first part (maximum 3 letters) is the "Engine code", and the second part (six-digit) - "serial number". After the release of more than 999,999 engines with the same letter designation of the first six positions of figures is replaced by a letter.

In addition to the intake manifold is applied sticker with "Engine code" and "serial number of the engine."

Engine code additionally indicated on the nameplate with the identification data of the car.

Twin engine capacity of 5.0 liters

Number of the engine ("engine lettering" and "serial number") is located on the cylinder block, under the head unit of the second row of cylinders (Fig. 1.6).

The engine number is a maximum of nine characters (alphanumeric). The first part (maximum 3 letters) is the "Engine code", and the second part (six-digit) "serial number". After the release of more than 999,999 engines with the same letter designation of the first six positions for numbers will be replaced by the letter.

In addition to soundproof head cover the first row of cylinders to apply a sticker with "Engine code" and "serial number of the engine."

Engine code additionally indicated on the nameplate with the identification data of the car.

The counting is conducted cylinders on the right side in running direction A (the first row of cylinders) with respect to the side where the motor is connected to the gearbox C. On each side of the engine is performed in order count (Fig. 1.7).
