| Four-cylinder petrol engines |
| 1. The thermostat is located in the outlet nozzle of the cooling system in front of the cylinder. On engines 1,4-I thermostat is set in a separate building, which is connected to the lower radiator hose. |
| 2. Drain the coolant from the cooling system. |
| The petrol engine 1,8-I Turbo with air conditioning |
| 3. Remove the top casing of the engine. |
| 4. Remove V-ribbed belt. |
| 5. Remove the upper (a) and lower (B) bolts of the compressor and air conditioning system, without disconnecting from it pipelines, move it away and fix it. |
| Engines 1,6- / 1,8-I |
| 6. Unscrew the bolts and remove the coupling from the engine block. Move coupling with a hose to the side. |
| Engine 1.4 |
| 7. Remove the connecting fittings, such as engines and 1,6 / 1,8-I. |
| 8. Remove the thermostat with the sealing ring from the cylinder block of the engine. When removing the thermostat on the engine 1,8-I need to turn the thermostat counter-clockwise by 90 ?°. |
| Diesel engines |
| 9. Remove the bolts securing the coupling, and remove it from the water pump. Move coupling with a hose to the side. To remove the thermostat, turn it counterclockwise by 90 ?°. |
