Technical condition



Check the steering column for signs of damage and wear.
Check for smooth and easy rotation of the shaft of the steering column.
Measure the distance A between the movable element and the steering column bracket (Fig. 14.9). The distance A must be not more than 0.5 mm. If the distance A greater than 0.5 mm, so the steering column is worn and should be replaced.
