Withdrawal



The thermostat is located in the thermostat housing mounted on the engine block.
Drain the coolant from the cooling system.
Remove the front bumper.
Install the front transverse panel in service position.
Remove ribbed belt and tensioner.
Remove the left and right casings of a gear belt.
Loosen the timing belt. Slightly turn the crankshaft in both directions to loosen the tension of the toothed belt and remove the toothed belt with tension roller and the right camshaft pulley.
To protect the toothed belt from the coolant cover it with polyethylene.

Remove the two screws and remove the thermostat housing to the front of the cylinder head (Fig. 7.14).
Remove the O-ring and thermostat from the cylinder head. Check the thermostat.
