Replacing the power steering pump



You will need: the keys "10", "12", "16", "22" face head "12", flat-blade screwdriver, pliers.
1. Remove the alternator drive belt and the power steering pump (see. "Replacing the alternator drive belt and the power steering pump").
2. Remove the three mounting bolts of the power steering pump pulley, hold the pump pulley from turning a screwdriver ...
3. ... and remove the pulley.
4. Hold the nozzle against rotation, the second key unscrew the nut of the pipeline ...
5. ... and remove the pipe from the union.

NOTE
The connection of the pipeline to the pump is sealed by a rubber ring, which must be replaced at each separation.

6. Squeeze bent antennae clamp pliers, slide the clamp to the pump ...
7. ... and remove the hose from the pipe.

A WARNING
Take precautionary measures against leakage of working fluid from the pipeline, drowning them, such as wooden plugs.

8. Remove the tube clamp.
9. Remove the two screws on the power steering pump ...
10. ... and remove the pump from the vehicle assembly to the suction pipe.
11. Remove the two screws on the flange of the suction pipe ...
12. ... and disconnect the pipe from the pump housing.

NOTE
The connection of the pipeline to the pump is sealed by a rubber ring, which must be replaced at each separation.

13. Install the parts in reverse order of removal, and remove air from the system power-steering (see. "Bleeding power steering system").
