Replacing the water pump

The pump is removed for repair or replacement in the event while it is the noise level that exceeds the normal and leakage of coolant.
Dismantling the pump is quite time-consuming, so we recommend a fault replace the pump assembly.
You will need a hex key "5".
1. Drain the cooling system (see. "Replacing the coolant").
2. Remove the timing belt and tensioner roller (see. "Replacing and adjusting the tension of the timing belt and its replacement by a tension roller"), bottom and rear timing cover (see. "Removing and installing oil pump").
3. Remove the three screws that secure the pump to the engine block and remove the pump together with a rubber O-ring.

HELPFUL ADVICE
Each withdrawal recommend replacing the water pump mounting screws his new, as they are susceptible to oxidation, and after prolonged use may break off when reversing. In addition, the slot in the screw head hexagon is relatively small and its face when reversing screw rumpled. When tightening the screws and re-reversing it faces can be crumpled damaged at all, and screw will be very difficult. To prevent the "souring" screw thread lubricate anaerobic thread lock.

4. Remove the O-ring from the pump housing.

HELPFUL HINTS
We recommend that each time the pump is replaced by a new O-ring.
Before installing the pump, sealing compounds and prevent sticking grease the O-ring ring with petroleum jelly.

5. Install the pump in the jack cylinder oriented in his body bore (arrow) at the end of the housing upwards and screw.
6. Install the parts in reverse order of removal.
7. Adjust the tension of the timing belt (see. "Replacing and adjusting the tension of the timing belt and replace it with the tension wheel."
8. Fill the coolant (see. "Replacing the coolant").
