The rear suspension is shown in Fig. 4.34.

Torsion beam rear suspension
Withdrawal
Remove the rear wheel.

Remove the rear wheel hub (Fig. 4.35) and bearing.

Disconnecting the parking brake cable

Disconnect the parking brake cable (Fig. 4.36).

Mounting the brake hoses and brake lines to the rear axle

Disconnect the brake hose and brake pipe (Fig. 4.37).

Set the jack under the torsion beam rear suspension

Establish a jack under the torsion beam and remove the lower mounting amortization mash-rear suspension (Fig. 4.38).
Slowly lowering the jack, remove the spring suspension.

Remove the bolts securing the bracket to the body torsion beam (Fig. 4.39).
Setting
Installation is carried out in reverse order.
Tighten the screw connections the date specified below.
Tightening torques in Nm:
Bolts Bearing hub rear wheel ..... 80-90
Bolt lower shock absorber suspension ..... 100-120
Bolts torsion beam suspension ..... 100-120
Bracket bolts beam suspension ..... 100-120
Attach the parking brake cable.
Bleed the brakes (see. Section "Brakes").

Shock absorber rear axle
Withdrawal
Remove the rear wheel.

In the luggage compartment, remove the pad from the sidewall lining and screwdriver (Fig. 4.40).

Remove the upper shock absorber nut (Fig. 4.41).
Place the jack under the rear axle and remove the shock absorber lower mounting.
Remove the shock absorber rear suspension.
Technical condition
Check shock absorber for wear or damage.
Check the rubber parts for damage and deterioration of the material.

Check the operation of the shock absorber

Check for the presence of shock increased rigidity or extraneous sound during operation (Fig. 4.42).
Setting

Tightening the nuts of the top fastening of the shock-absorber

Tighten the upper shock absorber, as shown in Fig. 4.43.
Establish a jack under a beam suspension.
Raise the vehicle to the desired height and tighten the shock absorber lower mounting point of 100-120 Nm.

A WARNING
Check the correct position of the suspension springs.

Spring rear suspension
Withdrawal
Remove the rear wheel.

NOTE
When removing the beam suspension Ensure that the brake hose does not load.

Remove the brake hose mounting bracket (Fig. 4.44).
Establish a jack under the suspension beam and remove the shock absorber lower mounting.
Remove the bolt of the beam to the bracket and three mounting bolts on the body.
Remove the spring suspension.
Technical condition
Check the spring suspension for cracks or deformation.
Check the bearing cup springs for damage and deformation.

Last spring coil must be located in the groove of the upper bearing cup (Figure 4.45).
Insert the spring lower support plate.
Install the spring suspension in its original position.

Extend the jack and tighten the bracket bolts beam suspension to the body (Fig. 4.46).
Tighten the shock absorber lower mounting.

Rear wheel hub

The hub of the rear wheel is shown in Fig. 4.47.
Withdrawal
Remove the brake drum.

To remove the brake drum from the wheel Remove the screw securing (Fig. 4.48).

Remove the wheel speed sensor (vehicles with ABS).
Unscrew the rear wheel hub.

Remove the hub via the brake (Fig. 4.49).
Technical condition
Check hub for cracks or damage.
Check the cap and the open part of the gland for signs of leaking grease.
Check for any abnormal noise during rotation of the hub.

Check the torque-rotation resistance of the bearing hub (Fig. 4.50).
The moment-rotation resistance of not more than 1.8 Nm.
Setting
Install the wheel bearing.

Install the wheel speed sensor (Fig. 4.51).
Install the wheel.

A WARNING
Securely connect the wheel speed sensor (vehicles with ABS).
