Checking the return anchor of the traction relay

Disconnect the field coil wire from terminal "M" pulling the relay.

Connect the wires from the terminals 12 V battery to a conclusion "M" and the starter housing (Fig. 7.60).

ATTENTION

This test must be carried out quickly, no more than 10 seconds, to prevent the coil from burning starter.

Pull hand pinion gear and release. If the pinion gear is immediately returned to its original position, then the traction relay correctly. If not, replace magnetic switch.
