Check and clean the spark plugs
Disconnect the spark plug wires from high-voltage spark plug.
NOTE When you disconnect the spark plug wire high voltage insulation pull the cap, not the cord. Otherwise the wire may be damaged. |
With head for removal of spark Remove the spark plug from the cylinder head.
ATTENTION Be careful not to allow dirt into the engine cylinders through the spark plug hole. |
Check the spark plug for defects listed below. 1. Damage to the insulator. 2. Burnout electrodes. 3. Nagara. 4. Damage or crack sealing washer. 5. Status of enamel insulator at the end of a candle.
| Fig. 7.4. Check the gap between the electrodes of the spark plug
|
Check the gap between the spark plug electrodes with a wire feeler gauge and adjust it if necessary (Fig. 7.4). Standard value: 1.0-1.1 mm.
Install the spark plugs and tighten them to the specified torque (Fig. 7.5). If candles tightened in excess of the nominal value, it is possible to damage the threads in the cylinder head. Tightening torque: 20-30 Nm.
