The keys

For added convenience, all locks open one car key (Fig. 1.5).
As the doors can be locked without a key carry a spare key, which you can use if you accidentally banning key in your own car.

To outsiders could not find the key number, it is not stamped on the key itself, but in the actual license plate (Fig. 1.6).
Keep numbered plate in a safe place separate from the keys out of the car.

Electronic immobilizer - anti-theft engine immobilizer system (optional)
Immobilizer is designed to minimize the likelihood of theft.
All car locks can be locked and unlocked by one key. Since the doors are locked without a key, be careful not to mistakenly lock the key inside your own car.

ATTENTION
When starting the engine, do not use the key with other immobilizer code. The engine may not start or stall shortly after the launch.

If the warning lamp (fig. 1.7) immobilizer fault flashes for five seconds with the ignition on, then malfunctioning immobilizer. You can not start the engine without inserting the emergency operation mode with the ignition key.
The following describes the operations to be performed to start the engine in the emergency operating mode (the numbers 0, 1, 2, 3 are shown as an example for the password).

NOTE
You can find the password for emergency operation when a new car. If you do not have a password, contact your dealer Hyundai.

1. To enter the password, turn the ignition key to ( (
2. Wait for 3 to 10 seconds.
3. Enter the remaining digits of the password the points 1-4.
4. If all four digits of the password is entered successfully, run the engine for 30 seconds. After this time it will be impossible to start the engine.
5. If the immobilizer warning lamp flashes for 5 seconds, repeat the operation for emergency operation.
After switching to emergency mode as soon as possible contact an authorized dealer Hyundai.

When the ignition switch is in any position except the ( ((Fig. 1.8).

ATTENTION
Driving with the doors unlocked is dangerous. Before driving (especially if there are children in the car), make sure that all the doors are securely locked and can not be accidentally opened from inside the car.
When used properly, seat belts and locked doors passengers may be thrown from the car in the event of a traffic accident (crash).
Before opening the door, check for approaching vehicles.
In an accident the doors are unlocked automatically (optional).
While not all the passengers get out of the car, do not block the door with the key or remote control. In this case, unlock the door with the door lock switch inside the vehicle can not be (optional).
Do not leave children, helpless adults and pets in a closed vehicle, as it can lead to heat stroke up to the fatal accident.

To lock the door, turn the key towards the front of the vehicle to unlock and - towards the back (Fig. 1.9).

The doors can be locked without using a key. to lock the doors from outside the vehicle, set inside door lock knob to position ((Fig. 1.10).

NOTE
Locking the door, be careful, do not leave the ignition key in the car.
To prevent theft, always remove the key from the ignition, lift all the windows and lock all doors when leaving the vehicle unattended.

To lock the doors from inside the car, close the door and set the inside door lock knob to position ((Fig. 1.11).

The car is equipped with a locking rear door locks ("protection against unwanted opening by children"). If locking levers are in the locked position, the rear doors can not be opened from inside the car. We recommend using lock locks the rear doors if the rear seats are small children (Fig. 1.12).
To the rear doors can not be opened from inside the car, move the lever to lock the door lock in polozhenie and close the door. to return to the normal operation of the door lock, move the lever to lock into position .
To open the back door in the "locked" lock lever, use the outside door handle.

The central locking switch is located on the armrest of the driver's door and front passenger, and is controlled by clicking on it. If, during the pressing vylyuchatel open any of the doors, it is locked after closing (Fig. 1.13).

NOTE
When you switch on the front of the central armrest of the door lock on the driver's or front passenger's doors are locked.
When you switch on the back of all the doors are unlocked.
If you pull the inner knob of the door lock, driver's door and front passenger are unlocked, even if the doors are locked by pressing the front of the switch for central locking.

This system is designed to prevent unauthorized entry into the car and has three operating modes: "Ready", "Alarm" and "Turn off". When triggered, anti-theft alarm sounds (siren) and direction indicators start flashing (Fig. 1.14).
Park the car and turn the engine off. Bring the system to a state of readiness, and as described below.
Remove the key from the ignition.
Make sure the hood and tailgate are locked.
Lock the doors using the transmitter of the remote control door locks.
After following the above steps the direction indicators flash once, indicating that the system is alerted.
However, if any of the doors or the hood remains open, the direction indicators will blink. Once all doors and hood are closed, the direction indicators will flash once. Anti-theft system can be activated when you close the front or back door key. In this direction indicators are not flashing.

NOTE
If any of the doors or the hood open, the system will not be alerted. In this case, the output system from the state of readiness, as indicated below.

ATTENTION
Do not operate the system in a state of readiness so long as all the passengers did not leave the interior of the vehicle.

If within 30 seconds after activating the anti-theft system, any of the doors or the hood open, the system will automatically shut down to prevent unnecessary audio alarm.

The alarm status
The alarm is triggered when the vehicle is parked and the system is ready in one of the following cases.
Open the front or back door without the transmitter.
Opens a back door without the transmitter.
The hood is opened.
In these cases the alarm sounds (siren) and the direction indicators flash for 27 seconds. To turn off the system, unlock the doors or the rear door using the transmitter.

ATTENTION
Do not attempt to start the engine when the anti-theft system is in a state of readiness.

The system is switched off when the door is unlocked by the driver or passenger by pressing ("Unlock") at the transmitter (Fig. 1.15).

After that, the direction indicators will flash twice, indicating that the system shut down.

NOTE
If within 30 seconds will not open a door or the hood, the system will turn on again.

ATTENTION
Disable system only by means of the transmitter. If the transmitter does not work when the anti-theft system is in a state of readiness, should take the following measures:
- Open the door with a key. In this case, the alarm sounds (siren);
- Insert the key into the ignition, and believe it to position (
- Wait 30 seconds.
Thereafter, the system is disconnected.

The remote control door locks (optional)
Locking the doors:
1. Close all doors.
2. Press ("Block") on the transmitter.
3. Direction indicators flash once to indicate that the doors are locked.
Unlocking the door:
1. Press ("Unlocked") at the transmitter.
2. The direction indicators will flash twice to indicate that all doors are unlocked.

Replacing the battery
When the battery begins to discharge the transmitter for opening or closing the door may require multiple keystrokes or indicator will light. In this case, replace the battery as soon as possible.

To replace the battery, disconnect the transmitter case using a coin, as shown below (Fig. 1.16).
Remove the old battery from the case, noting polarity. Make sure that the polarity of the new battery ("+" side facing down) and install it.

NOTE
The transmitter will not work in the following cases:
- The key is in the ignition;
- The distance from the transmitter to the car for more than 10 m;
- The battery in the transmitter is low;
- Other vehicles or any objects blocking the signal;
- Too low ambient temperature;
- The transmitter is close to the station, airport or other facilities that generate high-frequency radiation that could interfere with its normal operation.

If the transmitter does not work, open and close the door with a key. For troubleshooting the transmitter, contact an authorized dealer Hyundai.
Avoid getting water on the body of the transmitter. In case of failure of the transmitter as a result of water or any liquid warranty to repair or replace the transmitter does not operate.

Backdoor
The tailgate is raised manually by pulling on the outside door handle.

ATTENTION
While driving back door should always be fully closed. If it is open or ajar, in the interior of the vehicle can get toxic exhaust gases, which can lead to poisoning or death of passengers.

To close the tailgate, lower it and push until it is locked. to make sure that the rear door is completely closed, try to open it without using an external handle.

Use the luggage net, attaching it to the four lugs, as shown in Figure 1.17.

ATTENTION
Be careful when transporting fragile and bulky objects in the luggage compartment.
Avoid damage of eyes. Needless to not pull the luggage grid. Do not use the net having visible signs of wear or damage.

To use protective luggage rack, pull it out of the cassette, and secure the latch in the lock, as shown in Figure 1.18.
Precautions when using the safety net luggage
Do not place luggage on the protective grid luggage. In the case of a traffic accident (crash) or sudden braking baggage may move and cause injury to passengers and the driver.
In order to save fuel, do not overload the car unnecessary baggage.
Never allow passengers to stay in the luggage compartment when the vehicle is moving. Cargo space is only for the carriage of baggage.
When loading luggage, try to place it as close as possible to the front of the luggage compartment.

To use it, raise the luggage compartment tray for special handle (Fig. 1.19).

The car can also be equipped with a roof rack. Pull release lever up and move the cross bar to the desired position and lower the lever to secure the cross bar (Fig. 1.20).

ATTENTION
Sleepers are placed so as to ensure an even load on the longitudinal securing luggage rack according to the weight and dimensions of transported luggage.
If the vehicle is equipped with a sunroof, do not place luggage in the area of the hatch opening, so as not to damage the drive mechanism itself hatch.
In the carriage of cargo on the roof rack, take care not to damage the roof of the car.
When transporting bulky cargo on the roof rack, make sure that the dimensions of the cargo does not exceed the dimensions of the roof of the car.

Filler cap of the fuel tank can be opened from inside the vehicle by pulling up the cover release lever located on the driver's door (Fig. 1.21).

NOTE
If you can not open the fuel filler because of its ice, tap the cover or press on it to break the ice and open the lid. If necessary, use permitted to use De-Icing spray (do not use anti-freeze cooling system) or put the car in a heated room and wait until the ice melts.

ATTENTION
Gasoline vapors are poisonous. Before refueling, always turn off the engine. When handling fuel, make sure that there was close to an open flame. If necessary, replace the filler cap only install original cap production Hyundai, which is designed for the car of your brand. Sometimes when loosening the plug at high ambient temperatures can hear a slight "hiss". This is normal (Fig. 1.22).

Opening the filler cap of the fuel tank, turn it slowly. Fuel for internal combustion engines is a flammable / explosive substance. Therefore, when filling fuel in order to avoid serious injury, burns, as well as to prevent the ignition of the fuel, fire, explosion, always follow these guidelines:
- Before refueling note the location of the emergency exit of the filling station;
- Before touching the fuel gun or the fuel filler cap, check for potentially dangerous static electricity. To do this, touch a hand to any metal part in the front of the vehicle, away from the neck, the fuel dispenser gun.
During refueling does not return the vehicle. Do not touch, do not rub any synthetic materials (polystyrene, nylon, etc.) that can cause static electricity, which can ignite fuel vapors, followed by an explosion.
When filling the fuel canister to make sure it is on the ground. A discharge of static electricity from the canister fuel vapor can ignite and cause a fire.
The canister should be "grounded" until the end of fueling. Use only the canister designed for transportation and storage of fuel.
During refueling always stop the engine. Sparks produced by electrical engine can ignite fuel vapors and cause a fire. Always ensure that the engine is switched off before refueling. Upon completion of refueling, check that the lid and the fuel filler flap tightly closed, and only then start the engine.
Do not light a petrol station near. Do not use matches or a cigarette lighter and do not smoke in the car during refueling. Smoking is strictly prohibited at the filling station. Fuel is highly flammable.
In case of fire during refueling immediately leave the car, get away from it as far as possible and report on fire employees filling station or invoke the service for emergency situations.

If it is impossible to open the lid using the remote, use the manual release handle located in the luggage compartment. to open the lid, open the plastic cover, pull the handle, as shown in Figure 1.23.

To open the bonnet, pull the handle of the bonnet (Fig. 1.24).

When closing the hood, slowly lower the hood and make sure that the lock is securely closed (Fig. 1.26).

ATTENTION
Before driving, be sure that the hood is securely closed. Do not completely closed the hood could open unexpectedly while driving, leading to a complete loss of visibility and, in turn, may lead to traffic accident (crash).
Do not drive the vehicle when the hood is open, because it violated the review, and the hood could fall and become damaged.
