Remove the heat shield of the exhaust manifold (Fig. 2.174).

Removing the exhaust manifold assembly

Remove the cylinder head exhaust manifold assembly (Fig. 2.175).

Remove the exhaust manifold gasket.

Check

Check exhaust manifold for cracks and damage.

Using Rulers and feeler gauge, measure the warping of mating face of the exhaust manifold.

Standard value: 0.15 mm.

Limit: 0.30 mm.

Setting

Install the exhaust manifold is made in reverse order of removal.

Tightening torque of the mounting bolts of the exhaust manifold: M8 - 25-30 Nm M10 - 35-55 Nm.

ATTENTION

Before replacing the exhaust manifold gasket replace the new one. Do not forget to install heat shields.
