Removal, check and installation of the oil pump and oil pan

The components of the oil pump

Withdrawal

Removing the sensor switch
Fig. 2.314. Removing the sensor switch

With the help of the tool head 24 mm, unscrew the gauge-switch of pressure of oil (Fig. 2.314).

NOTE
The sensor is mounted on the sealant, taking care not to damage the sensor.

Remove the oil filter and oil pan.
Remove maslozabornik.
Remove the three screws and remove the oil filter bracket and gasket.
Remove the oil pressure relief valve, remove the spring and plunger.
Remove the oil pump assembly.

Check the oil pump body
Check the oil pump housing for cracks or damage. Replace if necessary.

Measuring the gap of the oil pump
Fig. 2.315. Measuring the gap of the oil pump

Measure the gap between the outer surface of the outer gear and the pump housing (Fig. 2.315).
Measure end clearance gears.
The gaps of the oil pump.
Nominal value:
gap between the outer surface of the outer gear and the pump housing - 0,100-0,181 mm;
end clearance - 0,040-0,095 mm.

Check relief valve and the spring
Check the ease of movement of the plunger pressure reducing valve in the oil pump case.
Check the condition of the pressure reducing valve spring (no breakage or deformation).

Checking the oil filter bracket
Check for damage mating face of the oil filter
Check for cracks and leaks of oil.

Check the gauge-switch of pressure of oil

Check for the closed loop between the terminal and the housing of the sensor-switch
Fig. 2.316. Check for the closed loop between the terminal and the housing of the sensor-switch

Use an ohmmeter to check for a closed circuit between the terminal and the housing of the sensor switch. If the circuit is open, replace the gauge-switch (Fig. 2.316).

Checking for a closed circuit using a thin rod
Fig. 2.317. Checking for a closed circuit using a thin rod

Insert a thin rod (or wire) into the hole of the gauge-switch and push it gently inward. If between the terminal and the housing of the sensor-switch circuit is closed when the rod is inserted, replace the gauge-switch (Fig. 2.317).
If between the terminal and the housing of the sensor-switch circuit is open when the diaphragm gauge-switch through the opening acts vacuum of 50 kPa, the sensor switch defective. If the vacuum is not retained, the diaphragm is destroyed. Replace the sensor switch.
Opening pressure sensor.
Sensor switch oil pressure: 20-40 kPa.

Setting

Oil pump housing
Fig. 2.318. Oil pump housing

Install the oil pump assembly with a new gasket (Fig. 2.318).

Install crankshaft oil seal
Fig. 2.319. Install crankshaft oil seal

With the help of a mandrel (09214-33000) of the crankshaft oil seal set (all the way to the wall socket) (Fig. 2.319).
Install the plug and relief valve spring. Tighten the cap specified torque.
Tightening torque reducing valve plug: 40-50 Nm.
Install a new gasket maslozabornik.
Tightening torque bolts maslozabornika: 15-22 Nm.
Clean the gasket plane of the block and the oil pan.

The scheme applying sealant on the flange of the tray
Fig. 2.320. The scheme applying sealant on the flange of the tray

Apply a bead of sealant into the groove of the flange of the pallet (Fig. 2.320).

NOTE
Cut nozzle tube with the sealant so that the sealant bead diameter was equal to about 4 mm. The pallet must be set within 15 minutes after sealant application.
Sealant should not get inside the tray.

Install the oil pan and tighten the bolts attaching it to the specified torque.
Tightening torque bolts sump:
* - 19-28 Nm;
** - 5-7 Nm;
*** - 30-42 Nm.

Order of a tightening of bolts of fastening of the oil pallet
Fig. 2.321. Order of a tightening of bolts of fastening of the oil pallet

Tightening bolts of the pallet shown in Figure 2.321.
Coat the threads of the gauge-switch of pressure of oil sealant and tighten the sensor to the specified torque.
Sealant Three Bond No. 1141E or 3M ATD No. 8660 or equivalent.

NOTE
Do not exceed the rated torque sensor.

Tightening torque gauge-switch of pressure of oil: 15-22 Nm.

Order of a tightening of bolts of fastening of the bottom of the pallet
Fig. 2.322. Order of a tightening of bolts of fastening of the bottom of the pallet

Tighten the lower tray in the order shown in Figure 2.322.
