Oil pump



The front cover of the cylinder and the oil pump of engines DOHC
Withdrawal
Remove the timing belt (see. Subsection "Timing belt").
Remove the oil pan mounting bolts.

Tap on the oil pan with a rubber mallet and remove the top and bottom of its sections (see. Fig. 2.42).
Remove the bolts, remove the oil strainer and gasket.
Remove the screws and remove the front cover assembly.
Remove the oil pressure gauge.
Remove the bracket and gasket of the oil filter.

Special tools (09213- 33000), remove the plug from the unit front cover / oil pump (see. Fig. 2.43).
Remove the cap from the left side of the cylinder block and insert a screwdriver into the hole to lock the left balancing shaft in the original position. For this purpose, use a screwdriver with a diameter
8 mm by inserting it to a depth of 60 mm.
Remove the pinion gear of the oil pump and remove the retaining bolt of the left balancer shaft.
Remove the bolts of the front cover, remove the front cover and gasket assembly, then remove the two balancing shaft of the cylinder.

Remove the screws and remove the oil pump from the front cover (see. Fig. 2.44).
Remove the oil pump gear to the front cover.
Check
Check the lubrication holes of the front cover in the absence of contamination and clean them if necessary.
Inspect the balancer shaft bearing for wear, damage, or jams. If the bearing is faulty, replace the front cover.
Check the front cover for cracks or damage and replace it if necessary.
Inspect the crankshaft oil seal for worn or damaged working edges, if necessary, replace it. Check elongation of a spring ring, compression sealing lips of oil seal, and, if necessary, replace the oil seal.
Check the oil pressure sensor.
Install the oil pump gear to the front cover, and turning them ensure smooth rotation and the absence of backlash.
Check the surface of the gear teeth for wear or damage.
check for wear mating surfaces of the front cover and oil pump cover.

Set the slave and master gears in the front door. Measure the clearance between the gears and the front cover (Fig. 2.100).
The gap between the pinion gear and the front cover, mm:
Rated ..... 0,16-0,21
the legal limit of 0.25 .....
The gap between the driven gear and the front cover, mm:
Rated ..... 0,18-0,21
the legal limit of 0.25 .....

Metal ruler and a feeler gauge, measure the backlash gear oil pump (Fig. 2.101).
Nominal backlash pinion oil pump - 0,08-0,014 mm, driven - 0,06-0,012 mm.
Maximum permissible backlash gear (drive and driven) oil pump - 0.25 mm.
Check the sump for any damage, injury or fracture, if necessary, replace it.
Check oil strainer for any breakage, damage or fracture, if necessary, replace it.
Setting

Lubricate the gear oil pump and install them by aligning marks on the gears (Fig. 2.102).
The special tool establish front oil seal crankshaft front cover.
Install special tool 09214-32100 on the front end of crankshaft and apply a thin coat of engine oil to the outer surface of the special tool to install the front cover.
Install the new gasket on the front cover assembly and temporarily tighten the flange bolts.

Replace the front cover assembly with a new gasket and tighten the bolts to 20-27 N ?� m (see. Fig. 2.49).
Insert a screwdriver into the hole for the plug to block the left balancer shaft. Making sure that the shaft is in the correct position, replace the bolt and tighten it to torque.
Install new O-ring into the groove of the front cover.
The special tool establish the plug and tighten it to a torque of 20-27 Nm (see. Fig. 2.43).

Apply a layer of sealant into the groove of the oil pan flange (see. Fig. 2.50).

WARNINGS
The thickness of the sealant layer should be about 4 mm.
Set oil pan for 15 minutes after sealant application.

Note the different lengths of bolts of fastening of the oil pallet.
Install the upper and lower section of the oil pan and tighten the bolts of their fastening torque of 10-12 Nm (see. Fig. 2.50).

Using a 24 mm wrench, screw the oil pressure gauge, pre-lubricated thread sealant layer sensor Threebond 1104, or the like (see. Fig. 2.51).
Tightening torque, pressure sensor - 8-12 Nm.

A WARNING
Do not overtighten the pressure sensor.

The oil pump V6 engines
Withdrawal
The key to 24 mm, remove the oil pressure gauge.

A WARNING
Be careful not to damage the sensor, as its thread sealant is applied.

Remove the oil filter and oil pan.

Remove the oil screen and gasket (Fig. 2.103).
Remove the three mounting bolts, remove the oil receiving tube with strainer and gasket.
Remove the drain plug of the safety valve of the oil pump body.
Remove the oil pump.
Check
Check the oil pump housing for cracks or damage.
Insert the rotor in the case of the oil pump and probe measure the gaps.
The nominal gap between the rotor and the housing of the oil pump - 0,100-0,181 mm.

Metal ruler and a feeler gauge, measure the backlash gear oil pump (Fig. 2.104).
Nominal backlash oil pump rotors - 0,040-0,095 mm.
Check for smooth movement of the plunger of the safety valve.
Check the safety valve spring for deformation or cracks.
Check the oil pan and the oil strainer for any damage, injury or fracture, if necessary, replace them.
Setting
Install the oil pump and gasket.
Tightening torques in Nm:
Bolts of fastening of the oil pump housing ..... 12-15
Screws oil pump ..... 8-12
Special tools (09214- 33000) set the seal into the oil pump housing.
Install the plug and the spring of the safety valve, screw the drain plug torque 40-50 Nm.
Install the oil strainer with a new gasket and tighten the bolts to 15-22 Nm.
Clean the gasket surfaces of the cylinder block and oil pan.
Apply a layer of sealant into the groove of the oil pan flange.

WARNINGS
The sealant must not protrude more than 4 mm from the groove oil pan flange.
Install the oil pan within
15 minutes after sealant application.
Make sure that the sealant has not got into the oil pan.
Place the upper section of the oil pan and tighten the bolts (Fig. 2.105).

Tighten the upper section of the oil pan in the sequence shown in Fig. 2.106.
Using a 24 mm wrench, screw the oil pressure gauge, pre-lubricated thread sensor layer of sealant or Threebond 1141E 3M ATD 8660 (see. Fig. 2.51).

A WARNING
Do not overtighten the pressure sensor.

Tightening torque sensor - 15-22 Nm.

Place the upper section of the oil pallet and fix its bolts, tighten them in the sequence shown in Fig. 2.107.
