Replacing the engine oil



Periodic replacement of oil and the oil filter - the most important preventive maintenance procedure.
In the operation of the engine oil is aging - liquid becomes contaminated, which leads to premature wear.
Change the oil must be carried out immediately after a trip to the not yet cooled down engine to better oil flew down together with pollution.

A WARNING
When replacing the engine oil, be careful not to burn yourself as the oil is hot.

Start up the engine and warm up to normal operating temperature.
Stop the engine.
Remove the oil filler cap to the cylinder head cover and remove the oil filter. Place the container for oil gathering under the oil drain plug and unscrew the plug. If necessary, press a stopper when unscrew that oil did not proceed prematurely; Drain the engine oil.
When the oil is completely drained, wipe around the oil drain plug and screw in oil drain plug with a new seal.
Tightening torque drain plug - 35-45 Nm.

A WARNING
When screwing the oil drain plug using a new O-ring.

Fill the engine with oil through the oil filler neck respective brands.
The amount of engine oil, l:
engines of 2.0 and 2.4 l ..... 4.3
engines V6 2,7 l ..... 4.5

A WARNING
Do not overfill the engine oil above the mark "MAX", as this will cause it to foam and reducing the pressure in the engine lubrication system.

Close the filler cap.
Start up the engine and let it run for a few minutes. Check for leaks around the oil drain plug on the pallet. Keep in mind that the control lamp of emergency pressure drop of oil can burn some seconds (until the oil fills the entire lubrication system).
Stop the engine and wait some minutes that oil has flown down in the pallet. Check the oil level and top up if necessary.
