Pumping air-conditioning system
WARNINGS When the air conditioning system is open, i.e., connected to the atmosphere such as during the installation or repair by a vacuum pump system of the air must be pumped. After installation of the air conditioning system elements must be pumped for 15 min. Node, which opened for repair and maintenance, it is necessary to pump over 30 minutes. |
Pumping spend on a car with a dead engine. Connect the measuring gauge manifold to the port of the compressor. Close the valves of high and low pressure. Make sure that the refrigerant drained from the air conditioning system. Attach the center hose of the gauge manifold to the inlet of the vacuum pump. Let the vacuum pump and open the valves of high and low pressure. After 10 minutes, check that the vacuum is equal to 94.39 kPa. If it is impossible to achieve the desired dilution, then the air conditioning system has a leak which must be eliminated in the following order: - Close both valves of the gauge manifold and stop the vacuum pump; - Fill the air conditioning system 0.4 kg of refrigerant; - Leak detector, check the tightness of the air conditioning system and eliminate any leak detected; - Drain the refrigerant from the air conditioning system, and then follow the pumping system. If leaks are found, continue to pump out system. Let the vacuum pump. Open both valves to obtain a vacuum 94.39 kPa. Once the low pressure gauge shows a vacuum which is close to 94.39 kPa continue pumping an additional 15 min. After evacuation for 15 minutes, close the valve and stop the vacuum pump. Disconnect the hose from the vacuum pump. The system is now ready for refueling.
