Snow chains and winter tires

Even if the most good tires with winter tread pattern helps to overcome not covered with snow or ice road sections need to use snow chains. They are placed only on the front wheels.
Winter tires are installed on all-wheel drive to save the maneuverability and stability of the vehicle.

A WARNING
After using chains should be washed with a strong jet of water, then rinse them in a bucket of water, which added preservative. This will prevent the formation of rust on the chain foci.

Summer tires are prone to slipping on snow and ice, so when driving in the winter season is recommended to install a set of tires with winter tread pattern.
Regardless of which tires are mounted on the car, at a temperature of about the freezing point of the ice formed on the thin film of water that reduces the adherence of the tires with the road (including a winter tire tread).
