Elements of the steering mechanism with the hydraulic booster shown in Fig. 4.10.
Drain the steering gear with hydraulic booster.
Remove the bolt connecting the hinge of the intermediate shaft and the pinion shaft of the steering mechanism.

Remove the cotter pin and unscrew a few turns nut trunnion ball joint tie rod to the steering knuckle. Puller 09568-31000 squeeze pin of the spherical rod end from the knuckle (see. Fig. 3.73). Secure the cord puller for the next element of the car.
Loosen the nut of the hinge, but do not remove it completely.
Temporarily disconnect the front muffler.
Turn out bolts of the front and rear roll stopper.
Remove the six bolts securing crossmember assembly.
Disconnect pressure and return hoses from the steering gear housing.
Remove the bolts attaching the brackets steering gear housing, and remove the steering gear with rubber gaskets.
Move the steering fully to the right, then remove it by dragging the left of the crossbar.
Remove the stabilizer bar.

A WARNING
When removing the steering, be careful not to damage the protective covers.

Loosen the lock nut and remove the tie rod tip (Fig. 4.11).

Use a screwdriver to remove the dust cover with a spherical rod end

Use a screwdriver to remove the protective cover of the spherical rod end (Fig. 4.12).
Remove the belt clip on the dust cover.
Slide the protective cover in the direction of a steering rod.

A WARNING
When replacing the protective cover, make sure there is no dust on the rail.

Disconnect the fluid supply pipe from the steering gear housing.
Slowly moving rail, drain the body of the steering mechanism.

Chisel, remove the lock washer, locking the tie rod and rail (Fig. 4.13).
Remove the tie rod to the rack.

A WARNING
Remove the tie rod to the rack careful not to skew the rail.

Loosen the lock nut cap support rails (Fig. 4.14).

Special adaptation (09565-31300), unscrew the cap support rails (Fig. 4.15).

Remove the steering support spring, rack support and the plug (Fig. 4.16).
Remove the self-locking nut caps.
Remove the dust cover.
Pliers, remove the retaining ring.

Soft metal hammer beat out a gear and the valve together with the gland (Fig. 4.17).

Turn on the stopper rail clockwise until the end of the locking ring comes out of the groove in the housing of the steering mechanism (Fig. 4.18).
When the end of the retaining ring out of the cylinder bore casing rack, turn the rack stopper clockwise and remove the retaining ring.

A WARNING
Be careful - do not damage the rail.

Remove the stopper rail, and rail hub of the steering gear housing, moving them in the direction of the piston.

A WARNING
After removing the rack, replace the oil seal housing.

Special adaptation (09517- 21400) and a hammer, remove the ball bearing from the valve body.

A WARNING
Be careful not to damage the cylinder valve inside the housing of the steering mechanism.

Knock out the needle bearing from the housing of the steering mechanism (Fig. 4.21).

Using special tool 09555-21000 (2) and 09573-33100 (1) to extract the rear washers and seals from the steering mechanism

Special tools (09555- 21000 and 09573-33100), remove the washer and the rear oil seal from the steering mechanism (Fig. 4.22).
Be careful not to damage the cylinder rack inside the housing of the steering mechanism.

Check
Check the rack teeth for damage or wear.
Check the contact surface of the oil seal for damage or wear.
Check the rack to the absence of bends and straight.
Check lip oil seal for damage or wear.
Check the oil seal for wear or damage.
Check the surface of the valve gear teeth for damage or wear.
Check O-ring for damage or wear.
Check jamming or abnormal noise during rotation of the bearing.
Check the bearing on absence of backlash.
Check that all the needles of the needle bearing.
Check the cylinder bore in the housing of the steering mechanism for damage.
Check the protective covers for damage, cracks or solidification.

Assembly
Apply recommended fluid PSF-3 (liquid for the steering amplifier) on the entire surface of the gland rack and steering gear housing.

Using special tools 09573-33100 (1), 09573-21000 (2), 09573-33000 (3), 09573-21100 (4) to set the rear of the washer and the gland into the housing of the steering mechanism

Special tool (09573-21000, 09573-21100, 09573-33000 and 09573-33100) Set thrust washer and oil seal in the steering gear housing in the position shown in Fig. 4.23.
Apply universal grease SAE J310, NLGI ?��2 to the entire surface of the needle bearing.

Special tools (09222- 21100), set the needle bearing in the housing of the steering mechanism (Fig. 4.24).

Install marked side of the gland on a special device (09431- 11000) and set the steering gear housing (Fig. 4.25).

A WARNING
Note the direction of the lip seal.
At installation use a new oil seal.

Grease fluid PSF-3 for the power steering the whole surface of an oil sealing ring sleeve rack.
Install the oil sealing ring in the plug rack.

Grease fluid PSF-3 O-ring and a special tool (09431-14200), set it on the sleeve of the rack (Fig. 4.26).
Grease Universal grease SAE J310, NLGI ?��2 EP teeth of the rack and wrap it with tape.

A WARNING
Do not fill the grease vent hole in the rail.

Insert the rail into the housing of the steering mechanism, and then insert the plug and stop the rack (Fig. 4.27).

Press the stopper rail as long as the groove for the locking ring is aligned with the opening in the housing rack, and turning the retainer slats, install the retaining ring (Fig. 4.28).

A WARNING
Retaining rings should not be visible through the opening of the housing rack.

Apply the liquid PSF-3 for the power steering and multi-purpose grease SAE J310, NLGI ?��2 EP on the pinion and valve assembly, install it in the body of the steering mechanism (Fig. 4.29).

The special tool 09222-21100 set the ball bearing (Fig. 4.30).
Set pinion and valve assembly to the valve body.

Special adaptation 09432- 21601, set the seal (Fig. 4.31).
Special pliers set the thrust ring.
With gear, turned fully clockwise to tighten the self-locking nut.

A WARNING
When installing, use a new self-locking nut.

Apply sealant to the threaded portion of the plug and tighten the cap torque of 50-70 Nm.
Punches stake the plug at two places along the circumference.
Install the lock washer and the tie rod, in two places at stake the edge of the lock washer.

A WARNING
Align the lock washer with the slots of the rack.
Always use a new retainer.

Set the steering hub, support rail and a spring (see. Fig. 4.16). Before installing, apply sealant to the threaded part of the stopper.
Place rack in center position. Place the lid on the housing steering gear. The special tool, tighten the cap torque of 20-25 Nm. Loosen the lid 10 ?� and tighten the lock nut torque 0.6-1.3 Nm.
After adjustment, tighten the lock nut plugs.

A WARNING
If the adjustment can not be made within an angle of reducing the cover, check the plug or replace it.

Tighten to torque the pipe and install the rubber seal on the glue.
Apply universal grease SAE J310, NLGI ?��2 EP at fixing covers (mounting groove) on the steering rods.
Attach the band clamp covers.

A WARNING
When installing the covers necessary to use new belt clips.

Install covers into position, being careful not to twist them (Fig. 4.32).

Grease the inside of the edge of the dust cover and rod end multi-purpose grease SAE J310, NLGI ?��2 EP and set the cover in such a position that the clamping ring has entered into a groove tie rod (Fig. 4.33).

Install the tie rod so that the length of the left and right rods were similar (Fig. 4.34).

A WARNING
Before installing the tips of steering drafts check their marking (?�L?� - Rod left, ?�R?� - right thrust).

Setting
Align the rubber mounting bushings steering gear housing so that they are aligned with the holes in the clamp mounting bracket and steering body.
Check for fluid leaks.
Ensure that the steering wheel turns smoothly without jamming.
Adjust the toe-in of the front wheels.
Install the remaining parts to the required torque.
