The cruise control system

Technical characteristics of the cruise control system
The cruise control system

The cruise control system maintains the speed of the car one electric motor connected to the accelerator cable.
The system consists of a control unit, switches on the brake pedal, the control switches and the speed sensor.
To check the system requires special test equipment and conduct specific diagnostic operations.
The following are only general test that will help determine the location of the fault.
Check the integrity of the fuses.
Press the brake pedal and make sure the brake lights light up as the brake light switch deactivates the cruise control system.
If the brake lights do not light up or is lit constantly, you should check the switch and control system of the cruise-control.
Inspect the control cable connecting the motor and the throttle sector, the lack of binding. If necessary, replace the cable.
If the cruise control system is still not working properly, contact a service station.

Brief description of the system elements and their functions
Speed sensor
- The vehicle converts the vehicle speed in pulses.
The control module
- The cruise control (CCM) receives signals from the sensor and control switch. CCM module controls all functions of the automatic speed control.
The drive cruise control
- Controls the degree of throttle opening in accordance with the signals from the CCM.
Main switch CRUISE
- Toggles maintain vehicle speed at a constant level.
Switch SET / RESUME
- It manages all the functions of automatic speed control.
LED main switch CRUISE
- Lit when switched on (?ON?) the main switch.
Switch cancellation
- Transmits a signal cancellation control module cruise control.
Stoplight switch / switch on the clutch pedal
- Cancels the operation of the cruise control system.

2 - a cable of a drive throttle cruise control; 3 - the accelerator cable; 4 - terminal block drive cruise control; 5 - unit drive cruise control

Location drive cruise control system shown in Fig. 10.16.
Switch off the ignition and disconnect the wire from the negative battery terminal.
Turning the throttle fully open, remove the accelerator cable and the cable of a drive throttle cruise control on the throttle assembly.
Disconnect the accelerator cable from the connector of the accelerator pedal.
Remove the bracket bolts to the throttle cable for cruise control.
Remove the screws and remove the drive unit of the cruise control.
Installation is performed in reverse order of removal.
Check and adjust the throttle cable
Turn off the air conditioning and all lighting fixtures. Check and adjust the throttle wire without a load.
Start up the engine and warm up it to achieve a stable idling. Make sure that the speed of the engine crankshaft corresponds to idle.
Switch off the ignition.
Make sure there are no sharp bends the throttle cable.
Press the accelerator pedal and check for smooth rotation of the throttle lever from fully closed to fully open.
Check cable slack.
If too much slack or no, adjust as follows.

WARNINGS
If too much slack, with inclines the vehicle speed is reduced significantly.
If the cable is very taut, increase the engine speed of the engine at idle.

Connect the cable from the drive pulley throttle cable drive unit of the cruise control.

Location nuts (1 and 2) adjust the cable of a drive throttle cable
Fig. 10.17. Location nuts (1 and 2) adjust the cable of a drive throttle cable

Tighten the cable and tighten the nut 2 (Fig. 10.17).
2 Remove the nut one turn in the opposite direction.
Tighten the nut 1.
Check slack rope to be 1 mm.
