Gear lever

On the car set (depending on version) manual or automatic transmission.
Gear lever
Manual transmission controlled according to a switching circuit applied to the handle of her arm. In the neutral position, the lever is automatically set to turn on the transfer III or IV, from which it can move forwards or backwards. To enable the transmission of I or II move the lever fully to the left and then forwards or backwards.
To enable reverse gear move the lever to the right until it stops, and then back. To enable the V transfer move the lever to the right until it stops and forth.

WARNINGS
Reverse gear switch only when the vehicle is completely stopped.
To prevent damage, avoid switching the transmission while slipping wheels.

The control circuit automatic transmission
Fig. 1.9. The control circuit automatic transmission: 1, 3 - to move the selector lever to press the lock button on the lever selector; 2 - to move the selector lever to press the lock button is not required

Control automatic transmission selector lever is carried out. Driving the shift is shown in Fig. 1.9.
Gear lever
To prevent damage to the automatic transmission with the wrong choice of transmission selector lever mounted button which blocks the movement of the lever.
Gear lever
Press the system ?OVER DRIVE?, you can enable or disable the system. When the system is turned off (button is pressed), the instrument cluster warning light overdrive lockout switch and blocked overdrive (fourth) transmission. While translating the switch in the ?ON? position will be automatically switched II, III and IV of the transmission.

NOTE
Each time the engine is started, if you have previously enabled ?OVER DRIVE?, is its automatic shutdown.

The selector lever can occupy fixed positions the following:
P (parking) - Transmission is locked, the spontaneous movement of the car is impossible. The lever from the "P" can be transferred only when the ignition is switched on and the brake pedal depressed;
R (reverse) - reverse gear is engaged. Translation of the lever to position ?R? is possible only when you click on the lock of the lever;

A WARNING
It is prohibited to transfer the selector lever to position "P" or ?R? while driving, as this will damage the automatic transmission.

N (neutral) - the neutral position of the lever. In this position, can start the engine;

NOTE
When installed in position ?N? selector lever engine start is not recommended, except in cases when the engine stalled while driving.

D (drive) - Movement with sequential automatic gearshift. The automatic transmission includes one of the four forward gears, depending on the vehicle speed. If you want to make a dramatic acceleration of the vehicle, for example when overtaking, depress the accelerator pedal all the way. Automatic automatically include a lower speed depending on the load and speed of the car;
2 - move forward at the II transmission. While translating the selector lever to position "2" is an automatic switching between gears I and II. If the vehicle speed exceeds the maximum allowed, to prevent the excessive speed of the crankshaft of the engine is automatically switched at the III transmission;

NOTE
The movement of the vehicle when installed in position "2" selector lever is recommended on steep inclines or when driving on slippery roads.

1 - reduction gear. While translating the selector lever to position "1" transmission will temporarily remain in the range of up to II until the vehicle speed drops below the value at which it will be possible downshift "1".

A WARNING
When set to "1", the selector lever must not be exceeded vehicle speed above 50 km / h.
NOTE
Set the selector lever to position "1" is recommended when overcoming large resistance to movement of a vehicle, for example, off-road or for prolonged engine braking at low speed when descending steep slopes.
