On cars KIA Spectra establish a five-speed manual gearbox (Fig. 6.1), formed by the two-shaft scheme with five synchronized forward gears and one reverse gear unsynchronized. Transmission and the main transfer with differential have a common housing.
On the primary shaft are situated on needle bearings rotating gear III, IV and V synchromesh gear and the drive gear I, II and gear for reverse gear integrally formed with the input shaft.
The secondary shaft is made with the drive pinion, besides fixedly mounted on a shaft driven gears III, IV, V gears and reverse gear. Rotating on needle bearings driven gears I and II have the gear synchronizer assembly.
Differential conical dvuhsatellitny. Potting Compounds internal hinges front wheel drive with the differential gear is provided by seals.
The gearbox casing is filler plug, and side - drain plug. Located at the top of the gearbox breather prevents the increase in the vapor pressure of the oil.
